VV wire refers to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated and PVC Sheathed Power Cable. Its common specifications are mainly distinguished by conductor cross-sectional area and core number.


The conductor cross-sectional area typically ranges from 1.5mm² to 240mm², covering small to large current-carrying requirements. The core number usually includes 1-Core, 2-core, 3-core, 4-core, and 5-core, with Multi-Core types suitable for scenarios needing multiple conductors to transmit power simultaneously.


In terms of 用途 (usage), VV wire is widely used in power transmission and distribution systems with AC rated voltage of 0.6/1kV and below. It is commonly applied in fixed laying environments such as indoor power distribution, industrial and mining enterprises, urban power grids, and building electrical installations. However, due to its relatively poor heat resistance compared to cross-linked polyethylene Insulated Cables, it is less suitable for high-temperature or long-term heavy-load operating environments.
