PVC insulated copper conductor flexible cables (including 2×25mm², 2×16mm² and 4-core flexible electronic cables) are a type of power distribution products with high flexibility as their core advantage, widely used in electrical connection scenarios requiring frequent movement and bending. Their unique structural design and material properties make them play an important role in industrial equipment, building decoration, precision instruments and other fields.​ In terms of specifications and parameters, the 2×16mm² cable consists of 2 copper conductors with a cross-sectional area of 16mm². The diameter of a single core conductor is about 5.1mm. Each conductor is formed by stranding dozens of thin copper wires with a diameter of 0.1mm-0.2mm. The overall conductor has extremely high flexibility, and the bending radius can be as low as 5 times the outer diameter (about 25mm). The 2×25mm² cable has a single core cross-sectional area of 25mm², with a conductor diameter of about 6.4mm, also using multi-strand fine copper wire stranding technology, with a bending radius ≤6 times the outer diameter (about 38mm), meeting the needs of repeated bending in narrow spaces. The single core cross-sectional area of 4-core flexible electronic cables is usually 0.5mm²-6mm². The 4 conductors are symmetrically distributed, with an overall outer diameter of about 8mm-15mm, and the bending radius can be as low as 4 times the outer diameter, suitable for signal and power transmission inside precision instruments.​ In terms of materials, the conductor is made of high-purity electrolytic copper (purity ≥99.95%) with a conductivity of ≥58MS/m, ensuring low-loss power transmission. The insulation layer is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, and its thickness is adjusted according to specifications: 2×16mm² insulation layer is 0.8mm-1.0mm thick, 2×25mm² is 1.0mm-1.2mm, and 4-core cable is 0.5mm-0.8mm. PVC insulation has good oil resistance and weather resistance, with a long-term operating temperature range of -15℃ to 70℃, and can withstand 80℃ high temperature during short-term overload. The insulation resistance is ≥100MΩ·km, and the dielectric loss tangent is ≤0.03 (50Hz), which can effectively isolate the risk of electric leakage between conductors. The outer sheath is also made of PVC material, with plasticizers added to improve flexibility, tensile strength ≥12MPa, elongation at break ≥150%, which can resist slight mechanical wear and chemical corrosion.​ In terms of characteristic applications, 2×16mm² cables are often used for power connection of industrial robot arms and mobile lifting equipment, and their flexibility can follow the robotic arm to rotate 360° without breaking; 2×25mm² cables are suitable for large mobile machinery (such as concrete pump trucks, telescopic conveyors), with a current-carrying capacity of 80A-100A (when laid in air), which can meet the high-power power supply needs of the equipment. 4-core flexible electronic cables focus on precision fields, such as internal wiring of medical equipment (nuclear magnetic resonance instruments, surgical robots) and sensor connection of intelligent production lines. They can not only transmit power but also carry weak electrical signals, with a signal transmission attenuation rate ≤0.5%/km, ensuring stable data. In addition, in temporary building power supply (such as stage lighting, exhibition equipment), the two types of double-core cables have become the first choice for temporary wiring due to their characteristics of easy winding and drag resistance.​ Performance advantages are also reflected in process details: the conductor adopts a double-layer stranding process of bunch stranding + compound stranding, so that the fine copper wires are closely attached with small gaps, which not only improves flexibility but also reduces stress concentration during bending; the insulation layer is extruded through a tube-type mold, closely combined with the conductor to avoid peeling; the sheath surface is printed with anti-slip lines to enhance the grip, and at the same time marked with specifications, rated voltage (300/500V or 450/750V), certification marks (such as CCC, UL) and other information. All series of cables have passed the bending test (≥10000 reciprocating bends without breaking) and ozone resistance test (no cracks for 72h under 200ppm concentration), ensuring a service life of ≥5 years in high-frequency mobile scenarios.​ In terms of price, the market unit price of 2×16mm² cables is about 25-35 yuan/meter, 2×25mm² is about 40-50 yuan/meter, and 4-core cables (2×0.75mm²+2×0.5mm²) are about 8-15 yuan/meter. The price is greatly affected by copper price fluctuations (copper accounts for more than 60% of the cost), and bulk purchases (over 1000 meters) can enjoy a 5%-8% discount.
