The Copper Conductors Type Ttu-0.6 Kv Electrical Cable 300 Mcm 500 Mcm 250 Mcm
TTU type 0.6kV copper conductor cables, featuring high-purity copper as the core, are available in 250MCM, 300MCM, and 500MCM specifications. They serve as key transmission carriers in low-voltage power distribution systems, widely applied in industrial plants, commercial complexes, and urban distribution network renovation projects. Designed in strict compliance with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, they combine high conductivity with mechanical stability, making them the preferred cable type for low-voltage scenarios.
In terms of specifications, all three cables use multi-strand stranded copper conductors with a purity of over 99.95%. The 250MCM cable has a conductor diameter of approximately 14.2mm, corresponding to a cross-sectional area of 126.7mm², with a continuous current-carrying capacity of 310A (at 30℃ ambient temperature); the 300MCM conductor has a diameter of 16.1mm, corresponding to 152.0mm², with a current-carrying capacity of 365A; the 500MCM conductor has a diameter of 20.2mm, corresponding to 253.3mm², with a current-carrying capacity of 480A. The insulation layer is made of XLPE material resistant to 90℃, with thickness increasing with specifications (1.2mm for 250MCM, 1.4mm for 300MCM, 1.6mm for 500MCM). The insulation resistance is ≥1000MΩ·km for all, and they can withstand a 1.8kV/1min voltage test. The sheath is made of flame-retardant PVC with an oxygen index ≥30, complying with GB/T 19666 standards. The overall outer diameters are 22mm, 25mm, and 30mm respectively, with a minimum bending radius of 12 times the outer diameter, suitable for laying in complex environments.
In terms of characteristic applications, 250MCM cables are mostly used for floor power distribution in commercial buildings, such as power supply for air conditioning units and elevator systems in shopping malls; 300MCM is suitable for small and medium-sized industrial plants, providing power for CNC machine tools, conveyor belts, and other equipment; 500MCM serves as the main branch of urban distribution networks, connecting community substations and switchgears. All three have mechanical damage resistance, passing 10kN tensile tests and 3kN side pressure tests, and can be directly buried or laid through pipes, especially suitable for humid and dusty underground pipe gallery environments.
In terms of materials and processes, copper conductors undergo continuous annealing treatment, with a conductivity of 58MS/m. The stranding pitch is controlled within 15-20 times the diameter to reduce the skin effect. The insulation layer is added with antioxidants and water tree inhibitors, maintaining stable performance in 95% humidity environments; the sheath is mixed with carbon black masterbatch, with an anti-ultraviolet aging life of over 20 years. The production process adopts online spark testing (voltage 3kV) and partial discharge testing (≤10pC) to ensure no pinholes or bubble defects.
In terms of price, affected by copper price fluctuations, the unit price of 250MCM is about 85-100 yuan/meter, 300MCM is 105-120 yuan/meter, and 500MCM is 150-170 yuan/meter. Bulk purchases (over 500 meters) can enjoy a 10%-15% discount. Imported brands (such as General Cable) have a 30% premium over domestic brands but are more favored by foreign-funded projects due to UL 44 certification.
For special needs, armored versions (steel tape thickness 0.5mm) or halogen-free low-smoke sheaths (LSZH) can be customized to meet fire protection requirements in subways, hospitals, and other places. Packaging uses 500-meter wooden reels, accompanied by third-party test reports (including conductor resistance and insulation strength data). Transportation must comply with ISTA 3A packaging test standards to ensure no damage during long-distance transportation.
