Electric Cable 3X25 mm2 4X25mm² 5X25mm² Aluminum or Copper Power Cable
3X25mm², 4X25mm², 5X25mm² aluminum or copper power cables are commonly used power transmission products in low-voltage distribution systems. With flexible core configurations and stable performance, they are widely applied in industrial plants, commercial buildings, residential quarters, municipal engineering and other fields. Their rated voltage is mostly 0.6/1kV, suitable for AC 50/60Hz power grids, and can meet the power transmission needs of medium and low-power equipment clusters and branch lines.
In terms of conductor materials, copper core cables are made of high-purity electrolytic copper (purity ≥99.95%) through compact stranding process. The DC resistance at 20℃ is ≤0.727Ω/km, which has excellent conductivity, low power transmission loss, and is suitable for scenarios with high requirements for conduction efficiency. Aluminum core cables are made of high-purity aluminum (purity ≥99.5%), also processed by compact stranding process. The DC resistance at 20℃ is ≤1.208Ω/km, with relatively low cost and light weight, which is more advantageous in long-distance laying and cost-sensitive projects.
The insulation layer usually adopts cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials. The XLPE insulation layer can withstand a temperature of up to 90℃, with a volume resistivity of ≥1×10¹⁴Ω·cm, excellent insulation performance, and can withstand an ambient temperature difference of -40℃ to 90℃, suitable for complex environments such as high temperature and humidity; The PVC insulation layer can withstand a temperature of 70℃, has good flame retardancy and mechanical properties, low cost, and is suitable for general dry environments. The insulation layer has uniform thickness, eccentricity ≤15%, and partial discharge ≤10pC, ensuring the safety of power transmission.
In terms of core configuration, 3X25mm² cables are composed of 3 conductors of 25mm², mostly used in three-phase power lines to supply power to three-phase equipment such as motors and water pumps; 4X25mm² cables include 3 phase lines and 1 neutral line, suitable for distribution scenarios with both three-phase and single-phase equipment, such as central air conditioners and lighting systems in shopping malls; 5X25mm² cables add 1 grounding line on the basis of 4 cores, which can better ensure electrical safety, and are often used in places with high safety requirements, such as branch lines in hospitals and data centers.
The current-carrying capacity of this series of cables varies depending on the material and laying method. When laid in air, the current-carrying capacity of 25mm² copper core cable is about 85A, and that of aluminum core cable is about 65A; When laid underground, the current-carrying capacity of copper core cable is about 70A, and that of aluminum core cable is about 55A. Such current-carrying capacity can meet the power needs of various equipment. For example, 3X25mm² copper core cable can supply power to three-phase motors of about 30kW, and 4X25mm² cable can support the operation of multiple single-phase equipment of 2-3kW at the same time.
During the production process, both copper core and aluminum core cables undergo strict quality control. The conductor stranding accurately controls the pitch and pressure to ensure a tight structure; The insulation layer extrusion uses advanced extrusion equipment to ensure uniform thickness and no defects such as bubbles and cracks. Finished cables must pass multiple tests such as power frequency withstand voltage (3kV/5min without breakdown), insulation resistance test, mechanical performance test, etc. Each batch of products is accompanied by a detailed test report to ensure that the quality meets relevant standards.
